At times sweet and popish, at time early Sonic Youth-like noisy, Liars’ self titled album is perhaps a little bit overratedly praised among some critics. Few good numbers intersected with few melancholic noisy numbers leaves somewhat a bittersweet aftertaste - globally leaning more on the bitter side.
